The Stringman

“There’s tell of a man with an unknowable face, whose songs have the power to take you places. Show you things. Some folks say what they saw was good, others say the opposite. Some folks just won’t say nothin’ no more. Though everyone agrees whatever he is, he ain’t holy.”

The Stringman is an NPC for Liminal Horror ready to be placed into any investigation. He is a dark messenger, a bringer of omens, and just an all-around uncomfortably eerie dude to be in the presence of. When he plays his music, the words have the power to ensnare anyone who listens too closely. If they are unable to resist, they may be pulled in and transported to the surreal, horrific places the Stringman sings about. From which they may not return the same.

This was written as part of the Horror of the Americas Jam for Liminal Horror. In it you'll find a brief description of the character of the Stringman and his curse, as well as a handful of his songs. Each song has a title and corresponding scenario.
